Department Requirements

You must meet the following requirements in order to join the Department Of Public Safety for SAPDS

  • Applicants must be at least 14 Years of age at the time of applying.

  • Applicants who are under the age of 16 at the time of applying will be required to pass a test with a 70% or higher in order to join the Department.

  • Applicants cannot have any Staff disciplinary action issued against them within SADPS within the last 14 days for any reason.
